How offset printing works
The name comes from one clever step — the ink is "offset" onto rubber before it touches paper. Here is the flow:
- 1Your design is etched onto a thin metal plate, one plate per colour.
- 2The plate is inked, and the image passes onto a rubber blanket.
- 3The rubber blanket rolls the ink onto the paper — clean and even.
- 4Sheets run through fast, so big quantities print quickly and cheaply — perfect for bulk brochures.
That plate-and-blanket setup — called lithography — is why offset holds such sharp, steady colour.
Offset printing vs digital printing
| Factor | Offset | Digital |
|---|---|---|
| Best quantity | Bulk (500+) | Short runs, one-offs |
| Cost per copy | Very low at volume | Flat — better for few |
| Colour | Exact Pantone, consistent | Great, slight variation |
| Setup | Plates needed (upfront) | None |
| Turnaround | Longer setup, fast run | Instant start |

Running a short or personalised job instead? Our digital printing skips plates and starts straight away.

What we offset print
Offset is the engine behind our high-volume printed products:
Colour matching and finishes
Colour is where offset really pulls ahead. Mixed Pantone inks mean your exact brand colour comes out right — and stays right across the whole run. It also takes premium finishes — metallic ink, spot gloss, embossing. So a catalogue or company profile feels high-end, not cheap. For a raised, glossy accent on a cover, we can add UV spot gloss after the main run.
Quantities and minimum runs
Offset makes sense from around 500 copies up, where the plate cost spreads thin and each copy gets very cheap.
Below that, plates are not worth it. So we steer you to digital instead. Tell us your quantity. We pick the method that costs you least, with no plate charge on small jobs.
Offset printing cost in Dubai
Offset is priced by the run. That means the plate setup, paper stock, number of colours, finish and quantity. The magic is scale. More copies means a lower cost for each one. Send your product, quantity and artwork on WhatsApp and we reply with an exact quote.

Offset printing questions people ask
What is offset printing?
Your design is etched onto a metal plate, inked, offset onto a rubber blanket, then rolled onto paper — sharp, consistent colour at the lowest cost per copy on big runs.
When is offset better than digital?
On large runs (500+), where cost per copy drops below digital and Pantone colour stays exact. For small or personalised jobs, digital wins.
What is the minimum order for offset printing in Dubai?
Usually from around 500 copies, since plates are made first. For smaller runs we suggest digital printing, so you skip plate costs.
What can be offset printed?
Books, catalogues, magazines, brochures, company profiles, flyers, letterheads and packaging — high-volume products with crisp, even colour.
Does offset give better colour?
For brand-critical work, yes — mixed Pantone inks reproduce exact brand colours identically across thousands of copies.
